It gives me everything that makes my character stronger in constant numbers that will not change. Everything in the game has it's programmed behaviour, every skill has his programmed damage and area.

It's the gameplay and progression that I get without any interference from a human.

There's always a different greater rift where everything lines up and you can clear a new Greater rift level. there's always an extra rank in gem level to up your damagenumbers. There's always a better gear until you rolled perfect stats. We make a fresh weak character and try to push this character to it's absolute maximum by getting levels and gear. So where leaves that for diablo (and other ARPG's for that matter)? for me, gameplay and progression. Which isn't for everyone and that's fine. Simple, I can take my time thinking over my strategies, calculating numbers and choose the best possible path. Some people ask me why I like turnbased games because they don't like how you usually don't control your character precisely. They'll tell me that they enjoy the player input from enemies and outsmarting them.

Why spend hours on a game where you need teamwork and don't have a constant stable in enemies (due to you vs the other).
